I met Allen about six weeks ago when I started talking to HVAC companies to replace our aging furnace/AC. Based on all the great google reviews I called them and Allen came out to give me an estimate. I appreciated that he never was trying to "sell" me. He made some recommendations, answered my questions and provided an estimate promptly. Their price was competitive so I picked them for the install which we scheduled for about three weeks out. A few days later we had that first heat wave, and our AC went out. I called Allen just to ask if we could potentially move up our install date or get someone out to look at our AC to keep it limping along until the install. Allen responded very promptly and promised me that he would swing by before he went home himself and at least take a look at our AC unit-- no matter what time that was. I was expecting him late that day, but he made it over before lunch and fixed my AC unit in literally 7 minutes (replaced a bad capacitor). I was literally AMAZED. I tried very hard to pay him for this service call and the part, but he wouldn't let me. Allen goes the extra mile for his customers and gives great service with a smile. He's an honest, trustworthy guy. I've never worked with these guys before, just selected them based on their google reviews. I'm sure glad I did! If you need HVAC help, call these guys.
Ryan and Leo did the install of our new furnace and AC unit yesterday. They called to let me know they were on their way and they showed up on time. They were polite and professional, they explained everything to me thoroughly and they cleaned up after themselves very well. They were very mindful to not let our psycho cat out in their 30,000 trips to and from the truck over the course of the 8-hour install. Everything appears to be done correctly. Hot day yesterday, and their job is hard work. Have you ever tried to carry a furnace up a flight of stairs? It totally sucks. I would wholeheartedly recommend these guys and would be happy to have Ryan and Leo out to work on my stuff again. They worked hard yesterday and did a very good job.
Also props to Lynette at the office-- she is super nice and very tolerant of the 200 questions I asked her before I signed the paperwork for the new furnace and AC. These are just good people across the board, and they do good work. Before I decided to buy the furnace and AC from these guys, I called them to ask a few questions. I couldn't get through-- it went right to voicemail. I thought "this is weird, it's not lunchtime or anything" and I didn't leave a message. Three minutes later Lynette called me back saying "hey, I see we missed a call from you. How can we help?". That just how these guys operate. Good service and good follow through.
The whole process was seamless. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We will be using Charter Home for all of our heating and cooling needs.
Allen was the tech that handled the service call for our AC issue. He arrived timely and was thorough in diagnosing the problem. We have working AC again.
Allen was great! He came earlier than the appointed time, which he contacted us and asked if he could and we appreciated since we had no AC. He was very nice and professional and had us back up and running in no time! Would definitely recommend Allen and Charter Home Comfort for any of your heating / cooling needs. Would absolutely call them again for any other problems.
